Stock market index of Vietnam's capital Hanoi, HNX-Index, closed at 81.55 points on Thursday, up 0.92 points, or 1.14 percent, against the previous trading session.

A total of over 45.773 million shares worth some 478.105 billion Vietnamese dong (some 21.44 million U.S. dollars) were traded at the Hanoi Stock Exchange on Thursday, an increase of 18.36 percent in volume and 34.08 percent in value against the previous trading session.

Prices of 99 stocks went up; 78 stocks fell down, while 71 stocks remained unchanged.
