ICBC Initiates China-South Africa Cross-border Consumption Promotion
 

On November 15, ICBC, in joint efforts with the Standard Bank, officially launched the cross-border consumption promotion campaigns themed “I Go ♥ South Africa” and “I Go ♥ China”, providing a series of preferential and featured services for Chinese tourists to South Africa and the other way around, with a view to provide facility to cross-border consumption between the two countries, and to promote friendly communications and people-to-people exchanges.

An official of ICBC Credit Card Center said that, as the bank’s internationalization strategy advances, ICBC has continuously stepped up its pace of implementation and extension of advantageous product lines in overseas markets. For example, “I Go ♥ South Africa”, by integrating advantages and resources of China and South Africa, provides ICBC credit card holders with convenient, considerate and preferential travel, shopping and leisure experiences abroad. Meanwhile, “I Go ♥ China” introduces overseas advantageous resources into China, creating new opportunities for China-South Africa travel and economic relationships, so as to enhance friendly communications and exchanges between the people of the two countries.

It is learned that, ICBC and Standard Bank provide various featured and preferential services for their card holders. For example, customers who travel with ICBC credit cards to South Africa can get up to 21% cash back for overseas consumption, free Wi-Fi, free security insurance for accounts, etc. Besides, card holders can also enjoy special offers including applying for South Africa Visa with a service charge of only RMB8, maximum RMB3,000 off for traveling in South Africa, exclusive hotels, premium customized jewelry, original South Africa red wine, exclusive special offers for catering, etc. For Standard Bank credit card holders, on the other hand, excellent services with favorable discounts regarding high-end hotels, featured tourism, catering and shopping, etc. are available for them traveling in China.
